Long Time No See...

It’s hard to believe that it’s been going on three years since I last updated this blog.  A lot has happened project-wise since then.  Most of the major work has now been completed, with mostly simple items left: moulding to go around the baseboards, refitting some of the laminate flooring, etc.  here are still a couple of large projects such as replacing the windows and rebuilding the basement entrance.
There have also been some changes in our personal lives.  The third week in May 2013, this big boy joined us:

Sir Loin von Beef, aka Beef, was a svelte 128 pounds when he joined our household.  Now, it’s hard to image him not being a part of our life.
Unfortunately, we also lost Angel in the fall of 2015. He and his sister were rescue cats who joined us a couple of weeks after we moved into the house.

In June, 2014, grandson Khale joined the family and we expanded again in June 2015 with the addition of Hawk, bringing Robyn and I to a total of 9 grandchildren, 7 boys and 2 girls.
July 3 2014, Robyn and I made a trip to the Bureau of Vital Statistics:

Then, on July 27, 2014, we tied the knot riding up the Mississippi River on the Jonathan Padelford.

The activity level on the house has really dropped down a lot.  With most of the living space finally in decent shape, it just hasn’t been as time critical to get some things down.  Still, over the past 2+ years, we’ve wrapped up the following projects: closets rebuilt, front porch refurbished, outdoor steps resurfaced, retaining walls built and outdoor deck built.

We are also going to be on the Minneapolis / Saint Paul Home Tour in the spring of 2015 which means we need to get caught up on this blog with what we've accomplished.

A post will be done for each major project in the approximate order they were done.
